====== Lines of Action ======

Lines of Action is a classic game in which you try to gather all your pieces into a single connected group. Pieces can only move the exact number of spaces as the number of pieces that lie along the line of movement.

Boards of size 8x8, 9x9, hex5, and hex6 are supported.  The 9x9 and hex6 boards have a central "black hole" that removes pieces from the game.  The hex5 variant is also known as Alveole; the players have 9 pieces each, which start out clustered in the corners.

The "Scrambled Eggs" initial layout variant, in which pieces are interspersed with each other instead of starting together on opposite sides of the board, is also supported (except on the hex5 board).

After a move, if **your** pieces form a single orthogonally-or-diagonally connected group, you win. If **both** connect on the same turn, it is a **draw**.

Default **classic 8×8:** each player’s 12 pieces start on the four side edges (not corners). **Scrambled Eggs** interleaves the colours along those edges.

A piece moves in a straight line (orthogonal or diagonal) a distance equal to the **number of pieces of either colour** on that line (including itself). It may jump over friendly pieces but not enemies. Landing on an enemy captures it.

You cannot pass.
