A minimalist connection game where each player can only have one naked diagonal.

A naked diagonal is a pair of like-coloured, diagonally adjacent pieces with no other like-coloured piece adjacent to both. A crosscut is a 2×2 area with two interlocking naked diagonals of opposite colours.
At the end of your turn, win if an orthogonally connected chain of your colour touches both of your opposite board edges.
Empty square grid. Default size 13×13. Player 1's edges are one pair of opposite sides; player 2's are the other pair.
Place one friendly stone on an empty cell.
After the placement there must never be more than one naked diagonal of each colour — not even for a moment before a capture.
If the placement completes a crosscut, the other friendly stone of that crosscut is removed.
Sizes 9, 11, 13 (default), 15, 17, 19.
At most one naked diagonal may exist on the whole board (both colours share the same limit). While one player holds that diagonal, the other cannot create another.
