A hexagonal tafl with stacking.
The “advanced” variant is also implemented, in which the king can get stacked upon while on an escape spot (and lose), because the advanced winning condition requires being on the escape spot at the beginning of the defenders' turn.
The “plus” variant implements the newer AlmaTafl rule, that discs can land on other discs, despite their color, only if at the beginning of their turn [they] are at least on the same height as the disc they intend to land on.
AlmaTafl is an asymmetrical game where one side plays the defenders trying to get the king to safety, while the other side tries to capture the king or render him defenseless.

Published listing: BoardGameGeek: AlmaTafl.
Tafl-style board with a throne and corner exits. Invaders surround; defenders and the king occupy the centre. Player 1 (invaders) starts.
Stacks move a number of orthogonal steps equal to their height. Maximum stack height is 3. Only the king may land on the throne or on exits. Defenders may not stack on their own king.
The king may bounce: after landing on an invader, he may continue if the bounce rules are met.
Invaders may stack onto a king who is on an exit. Defenders win only if they begin their turn with the king already on an escape space.
You may not move directly onto a taller stack.
